Ft. Williams Indian Reservation

Mt. Mckay

I visited the Ft. Williams Indian reservation again the other day - this time on a clearer day when the fog wasn’t at the top and there was a clear view of the valley below where Thunder Bay sits. The photograph is of Mt. McKay, one of the more prominent geological features of the reservations. This a beautiful mountain distinguished by its fluted igneous columns.

Canada Adventure

I made it to Canada with a mild case of culture shock as I am greeted by a little Canadian sweetheart and her Canadian friend that is a European transplant at the Thunder Bay International airport. I rested up the first day as I was introduced to all the important folks in the West Fort neighborhood. I had the chance to visit the Fort Williams Indian reservation where I bought some reservation Canadian cigarettes and had a couple of Molson ales. We then drove up to Mount Mckay where I had a chance to see the turning leaves and the beautiful and scenic Canadian bush.

Canadian Sweetheart and Gorilla Glue Tape Testimony

Gorilla Glue guitar case repair

I’m off again on an international trek for the perfect girlfriend. This time in Canada. Literally a trip across the street compared to my heartache/heartbreak in the Netherlands in 2005. This time I am taking only half the amount of time, a week, and paying twice as much for the plane fare. Unfortunately the management at work felt a weeks notice was sufficient in planning my trip so things are a little more rushed this time.

My hard case for my guitar has been in the attic for more than a year and there has been some hot weather this past summer that has put a beating on the exterior of the case case the glued covering to swelter off on the edges. This is another occasion that the fine products the Gorilla Glue company have come to the rescue for a short notice repair on the exterior of my well traveled guitar case. I have written previously how Gorilla Glue rescued me from a serious broken neck injury on my acoustic guitar. This time the repair isn’t so dramatic but none the less necessary but the solution is about as elegant and functional as needed for a trip to Canada to visit a very special lady in Canada that loves me so much.
